Capabilities
Capital Advisory.
Funds, Direct Investments, and Venture Building.
SJS operates across four defined lanes: corporate advisory, fund management, direct investments, and venture building. We keep the model deliberately narrow so judgment, governance, and execution remain close to the work.
We are developing an integrated research and operating capability to support market intelligence, investment analysis and collaboration across the group. This combines partner experience with AI-assisted research and structured workflows, with clear accountability for decisions.
Corporate Advisory
For principals and boards with several counterparties to align.
Strategic and transaction advice on restructurings, capital raises, mergers and acquisitions, and complex operating situations. Most of our work sits where a transaction cannot move until the parties around it agree on structure, control and sequence. Each engagement is scoped at the outset and run by a partner from start to finish.
Fund Management
For capital that needs a vehicle built around a defined mandate.
Design and administration of bespoke investment vehicles: unit trusts, variable capital companies and special purpose vehicles, each built around one mandate. Governance, risk parameters and reporting cadence are set before the first commitment and held for the life of the vehicle. We administer what we design, with the two roles kept structurally separate.
Direct Investments
For situations where our own capital strengthens the alignment.
Selective principal and co-investment positions, usually through SPVs or aligned vehicles, in situations that sit close to our advisory work. We invest where we can hold a governance seat rather than as passive capital, and only where doing so strengthens alignment within a mandate.
Venture Building
For a small number of businesses we build ourselves.
Incubation of selected businesses in sectors close to the firm’s capabilities and operating experience. Each is set up with its own governance from the start rather than retrofitted later. Any subsequent investment by SJS or by a mandate it administers goes through the usual approval process.
Where the work is now.
The themes we are working in, and what we are doing in each. Companies, figures and terms are named only once they are cleared for publication.
AI infrastructure brings together power, compute and long-term capital. We examine the commercial and operating requirements that make these projects viable across regional markets: land, power, approvals, compute, cooling, capital and offtake, and how each depends on the others.
We want to hear from developers, holders of land and power, and long-term capital.
